Guys,

My database gives me the following observations

Dictionary misses - 9170
Dictionary hits - 147797
Library cache get hit ratio - 53.45
Parse to execute ratio - 89.35

Do you fine these normal? If not then what should I do to rectify these

Thanks
- Das

1. Performance tuning numbers make sense as percentage, not by numbers themselves.

2. The library cache hit ration way too low - tune the SGA -

3. There are plenty of resources on tuning SGA - I am sure you can find them here.

1. Wrong 1% of 100 and 1% of 100000000000 are somewhat different

2. This is very useful advice. Why? How? What does this mean?

3. Meaningless and useless.

One more great post.

Regards
Michel
